Additions That Expand Your Rebounder Routine

by Chris Channing

A rebounder, also known as a mini trampoline, is the best way to get in shape and have fun doing it. In buying different accessories, you can either improve upon the functionality of the product you have bought, or even get more benefit out of each workout conducted.

Old models of mini trampolines don’t always come with protective padding. Protective padding is put around the springs of the mini trampoline to prevent you hurting yourself in the event of a fall. Bouncing on a rebounder also creates static electricity, which is discharged through springs and can make a painful sensation if touched and padding isn’t present.

If your rebounder seems to move around a lot more than it should, an anchor kit can help keep it weighted to the ground. Anchor kits are made for both indoor and outdoor usage, depending on where you are using your mini trampoline. The outdoor anchors are more reliable, as they can anchor into the ground. Indoor kits usually try to anchor via textured bottoms or adding weight to the bottom of the equipment.

If you pay a bit more initially, you will be able to get a stabilizing bar in your purchase. Don’t worry if you already bought your model of rebounder and didn’t receive one- your manufacturer likely sells them. If not, third parties can offer you a stand-alone bar that can allow you to safely get on and off the rebounder. Stabilizing bars also promote good posture and prevent falls that could potentially injure you. Thus, they are good investments.

Getting your rebound in and out of your closet won’t be a big problem. Where you will run into problems is getting your rebounder to and from the gym if you take classes with it. Some rebounders are able to fold up into a manageable solution, but even then they are bulky and tough to carry around. You can buy special carrying bags at select health retailers to carry the equipment with a single hand.

Accessories such as DVD instructional tapes, books, magazines, and manuals will also help you to maintain the correct posture during a workout. Instructional resources can also give you insight on new types of workout routines so you can keep the act of using a rebounder fresh and fun. In using different workout methods, you can also target different areas of the body in a single workout.

Final Thoughts

You and your rebounder will get a lot of time together if you find ways to keep it exciting and fun to exercise. With a rebounder it is hard not to find the act of exercising fun, but look into the mentioned accessories for extra options.
