Dogs have always been associated with man and that close relationship continues to this day. It used to be that men and dogs had a working relationship but that is less common these days and most people keep dogs as family pets.
Children love having a dog around the house and there are usually no problems but once in a while we hear of cases where a dog has suddenly turned on a family member and caused serious injuries and even death.
In most cases the dog is not one that has been well trained or kept under proper control. Dogs are basically a wild animal and they still get those animal urges and they can suddenly turn nasty. All the more reason then to make sure that any dog you own understands who is boss. the dog must always know who is in charge.
Training is important for house training dogs and for making sure your dog is never a nuisance or a threat to any family members, visitors or guests. Make sure you start training your dog at an early age and you will have a well behaved adult dog who will do anything for you and never become a dangerous dog.
